"Breaking News: CBSE Class 12th Results 2023 Declared with 87.33% Pass Percentage"

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class 12th results for the academic year 2022-23. The overall pass percentage has decreased slightly to 87.33% compared to last year's 88.78%. A total of 12,96,318 students appeared for the exams this year, out of which 11,31,348 students passed.

The pass percentage for girls is higher than that of boys by 0.54%, with girls securing a pass percentage of 89.26% and boys securing 88.72%. The top-performing region is Trivandrum with a pass percentage of 97.43%, while the lowest performing region is Patna with a pass percentage of 78.28%.

The CBSE has also introduced a moderation policy for the calculation of marks this year, which has been welcomed by students and teachers. The moderation policy allows for a deviation of up to 5 marks from the actual score obtained by a student. This is expected to reduce the stress levels of students and ensure a fair evaluation of their performance.

The results have been announced on the official websites of the CBSE, cbse.gov.in and cbseresults.nic.in, and students can access their results using their roll number and date of birth. The CBSE has also introduced the provision of obtaining digital mark sheets, which can be accessed through the DigiLocker app.

Overall, while the pass percentage has slightly decreased, the moderation policy and the introduction of digital mark sheets have been significant developments for students appearing for the Class 12th exams.
